  Kelis Rogers-Jones (born Kelis Rogers on August 21, 1979), is known simply by her first name Kelis (pronounced Kuh-lees). Her name is an amalgamation of her parents first names, her Black father Kenneth and Puerto Rican/Chinese mother Eveliss. Growing up in Middle Class Harlem, New York Kelis' childhood was not a deprived one. But she was not without problems, after her parents realised they could not cope with her unruly behaviour (Kelis shaved all her hair off at age 13, soon afterwards dyeing the regrowth the colors of the rainbow), Kelis moved out of the family home, continuing her private education. After a short spell working as a model, 5'10" Kelis began appearing on songs by Neptunes produced rappers such as 'Got Your Money' by the late rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard. Soon afterwards, she released her debut album, Kaleidoscope in 1997 of which the first single was 'Caught Out There,' a song based on the time she caught her boyfriend cheating on her, and she beat him. The video feautures Kelis leading a pack of angry women down the street screaming 'I hate you so much right now!'. The album was released in USA, Europe and Asia, but did not find much audience in the USA. Not a great success, it only sold 249,000 copies to date. After finding her largest audience in Europe, Kelis released her second album titled Wanderland (2001) in Europe only, which like her first album did not fare well. It only sold 80,000 copies and was entirely produced by The Neptunes (Pharrell and Chad Hugo) again, similairly to her debut. Singles released were 'Young Fresh N New', 'Get Even' and 'Popular Thug' of which there are two official versions one featuring Nas and one feauturing Pusha T of Clipse. In 2003 Kelis finally found fame in her country with the single 'Milkshake,' which was a massive success in Europe, Asia and USA, and she began dating rapper Nas (born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones). The single was from the album 'Tasty' which did not feature the Neptunes as heavily as her previous albums. Singles included the popular Dallas Austin produced 'Trick Me' and 'Millionaire', a collaberation with OutKast's Andre 3000. 'In Public'a duet with Nas was the fourth single from the album, becoming a top twenty hit in the U.K. without a video. In 2006, Kelis presented a new album to her fans, entitled Kelis Was Here, which was originally to be called 'The Pupeteer' which was released on 22 August but was due Fall 2005. No Neptunes tracks appeared on this album, but Kelis used other producers such as Max Martin, will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas) and Raphael Saadiq. Singles are the huge 'Bossy', 'Blindfold Me', 'Circus' and 'Lil Star'. Kelis wrote more of the material on this album than she did for Tasty, and carries off the sci-fi, electronica sounds so often considered Neptunes material without them. This is most evident on the brilliant 'Trilogy'. Kelis has said she wants to make her mark with this album, as it will be the last 'album like this' she will make. In October 2007, Kelis was dumped by Jive Records, for poor sales of Kelis Was Here but a new album is in the pipeline. The Hits - a greatest hits collection - was released in March 2008, including tracks where she was a featured artist.

  Rasmus Seebach

  Da Rasmus Seebach udsendte sit debutalbum, ”Rasmus Seebach”, i 2009 kom gennembrudshittet ”Engel” og sange som ”Lidt i Fem” og ”Natteravn” hurtigt på danskernes læber. Albummet blev en kæmpe succes med mere end 240.000 solgte eksemplarer og den dag i dag er albummet stadig indehaver af rekorden for flest uger på toppen af albumhitlisten. I september 2011 fik Rasmus Seebach således overrakt 10 x platin for sit debutalbum som sidenhen har solgt intet mindre end 12 x platin.
  
  I oktober 2011 fulgte Seebach så op på successen med albummet ”Mer’ End Kærlighed” hvorfra vi kender hits som ”I Mine Øjne”, ”Millionær” og ”Falder”. På blot en uge solgte dét album over 42.000 eksemplarer og gjorde Rasmus Seebach til den hurtigst sælgende kunstner i Danmark nogensinde. Dermed fik Seebach atter cementeret sin position helt i front på den danske popscene. Ligesom debuten har ’Mer’ End Kærlighed’ samlet set solgt mere end 240.000 eksemplarer svarende til 12 x platin.
  
  I november 2013 udkom ”Ingen Kan Love Dig I Morgen”, Seebachs tredje album der indeholdt hits som ”Olivia” og ”Øde Ø”. I lighed med de forrige albums, blev ”Ingen Kan Love Dig I morgen” en forrygende succes som bl.a. indbragte Seebach og de faste samarbejdspartnere, producer og bror Nicolai Seebach og tekstforfatter Lars Ankerstjerne, en DMA-statuette for ”Årets Danske Sangskriver” 2014, også kaldet ”Koda Prisen”. Albummet har i skrivende stund solgt 10 x platin.
  
  Den 6. November udkom Seebach med sit fjerde album, der har fået titlen “Verden Ka’ Vente” hvorfra første single, "Uanset", har fået en fantastisk modtagelse. Grundet forudbestillinger lå sangen allerede før udgivelse #1 på Itunes. På Spotify i Danmark formåede sangen at blive det mest streamede track nogensinde på releasedagen. “Uanset" strøg hurtigt til tops som #1 på den officielle trackliste og airplay chart. Siden har sangen ligget i toprotation på stort set alle landets radioer og opnået guld for over 30.000 solgte tracks.

  Søren Friis (drums) is born on September 26th in Copenhagen.

  - 1974

  Tim Christensen (guitar, vocal, songwriter) is born on July 2nd in Copenhagen. Martin Nielsen (bass) is born on October 19th in Copenhagen.

  - 1988

  Dizzy Mizz Lizzy is formed on the Hanssted School in Valby, Copenhagen.

  - 1990

  The band wins the talent-show "Rock Træf". The grand prize is 5000 Danish Kroner which is used for recording the first demo tape, but no record company is interested.

  - 1991

  The band reaches the final in "The Danish Rock Championship", but no luck..

  - 1992

  The band reaches, once again, the final in "The Danish Rock Championship". Still no luck.

  - 1993

  Reaching the final for the third time, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy is this years winner of "The Danish Rock Championship". The grand prize is to record a 4-track EP. The song Waterline is a massive hit on the Danish Radio P3 and helps the band getting a recording deal with EMI. The debut album is recorded in the fall with Nick Foss producing.

  - 1994

  The album Dizzy Mizz Lizzy with 13 of Tim's songs is released in March to great reviews everywhere. Barbedwired baby's dream and Love is a loser's game are massive radio hits. The following Denmark-tour is sold out everywhere and the bands concert on the Roskilde Festival's green stage (on Tim's 20th birthday) is to be known as one of that years best performances.

  - 1995

  The band receives 3 Grammys for the album Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. Album of the year, Best Band and Newcomer of the year aswell as the "People's Choice"-award. Tour in Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Austria and Germany before 3 sold out shows in Japan. The Osaka show is recorded and released (in Japan only) as Live in Japan. In December the band starts recording Rotator in the legendary Abbey Road Studio 2 in London with Nick Foss, once again, as producer.

  - 1996

  Rotator is certified gold in Denmark on the day of it's release and is more than well received by the press. The title track and 11:07 PM becomes massive hits on the radio. Huge spring- and summertour follows, which includes the "Live in Aarhus '96" -concert. Six sold-out shows in Japan in September.

  - 1997

  Rotator receives a Danish Grammy for "Rock album of the year" and Nick Foss receives a Grammy for best producer (also for Rotator). After five busy years, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy decides to take a break.

  - 1998

  Dizzy Mizz Lizzy is officially disbanded on March 10th and the posthumous album The Greatest is released in Japan.

  - 2002

  The Best of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy including the previously unreleased live-concert (Aarhus May 11th 1996), is released April 29th.

  - 2006

  The band is reunited for a one tim only performance at the benefit show 'Brandalarm' in Copenhagen's Vega. The band plays 5 songs.

  - 2009

  It's official! Dizzy Mizz Lizzy announces via a short video clip online that the trio is reuniting for a tour in 2010. Tickets for the first Copenhagen show is sold out in 15 seconds!

  - 2010

  The reunited band is back on the road. 8 sold out shows in March and April in Denmark. 4 sold out shows in Japan in May. Summer festivals all over Denmark from May to August.

  Suspekt

  TV-2 is a danish pop band from Aarhus that loves to travel around the country and perform under the slogan of being "The most boring band in Denmark". With their record debut from 1981, it is also one of Denmark's oldest and still-existing pop bands. In no small degree thanks to their lyrics, which are witty and have a thoroughly humorously ironic undertone they have achieved great and stable fame. TV-2 consist of Steffen Brandt (lead vocal, guitar, keyboard, principal songwriter), Georg Olesen (bass), Hans Erik Lerchenfeld (guitar) and Sven Gaul (drums). The correct spelling of the band's name is actually tv·2, and not TV-2.
  
  TV-2 was founded by the turn of the year 1980/81. As recording began of the first album Fantastiske Toyota in January-February 1981 Steffen Brandt was also a member of Kliché as keyboard player, and Sven Gaul was on vacation in the United States. Six months after the debut Torben Westergaard replaced Georg Olesen, who at the time still played with Warm Guns. In 1983 they released Beat were the development of the band gathered speed. TV-2 still had not won the heart of the big record buying audience, but by rapping his way through "the Admirals Song" from H.M.S. Pinafore, renamed "Popsangerens Vise" secured success. On the album "Rigtige Mænd Gider Ikke Høre Mere Vrøvl" the title track became a hit song all over the country and the album sold over 250,000 copies. In 1988, they released Nærmest lykkelig which was proclaimed the best album, the band so far had released, by the music press. The title track and the "The Shadows"-like "Alt Hvad Hun Ville Var At Danse" became hit songs. After this they released the album Vi bli'r alligevel aldrig voksne. It was the fifth album in a row which had reached platinum. The band celebrated their 10 year anniversary in 1991 with Slaraffenland where TV-2 again wanted to play with the music. TV-2 released a Greatest Hits collection, De unge år (disc 1) and De unge år (disc 2) in November of 1992.
  
  In February of 1994 they reached double platinum with the album Verdens lykkeligste mand with the hit single "Det er Samfundets Skyld". They released Kys bruden in 1996. The title track, "Kom Lad Os Brokke Os" and "Sån't Er Livet" became big hits on the radio and the album sold more than 130,000 copies. The album Yndlingsbabe was released two years later and the album contained the hit song "Der Går Min Klasselærer". 1999 had no new album from TV-2, instead they looked back. In part with a live double album Verdens lykkeligste band: Live 99 (disc 1) and Verdens lykkeligste band: Live 99 (disc 2) and in part with Manden der ønskede sig en havudsigt a show where a number of TV-2 hits were played with the aid of a group of modern dancers. The album released in 2001, Amerika. One year later they release På kanten af småt brændbart with the hit songs "Big Time og Honning" og "Herlev, det er skønt". In 2004 a double album, "Hits", containing hits from the beginning of their career up to 2004 was released. All talk of mid-life crisis silenced when TV-2 in November of 2005 released De Første Kærester På Månen. Even though it was released late in the year the album ended up being the most sold album in Denmark that year, and by the spring of 2006 it has sold more than 140,000 copies.

  Poul Krebs is a danish singer/songwriter. He started in the end of the 70's, but became known first for his attribution to a Greenpeace-record.
  For some years he was known as the ever touring, but never popular singer. But that all changed in 1995 with the album »Små sensationer« recorded live in the Gnags-studios in Aarshus. The album and the hit Sådan nogen som os meant a major breakthrough for Poul Krebs, and he has since established himself as the »grownup and sensitive« danish songwriter. For some years he was established on Samsø and had studios on Dansebjerg. He has since moved back to Aarhus, but kept the studios and his own restaurant on Samsø.

  Blaue Blume

  Danish dreamrock band Blaue Blume was founded in the Jutlandic city Kolding in the late 2000s when school friends Søren Buhl Lassen and Jonas Holst Schmidt joined forces to make music together. They recognized a spark in each other, a sensation of something special: ”It instantly felt like this could be a band, even though we weren't yet.”

  With Søren's brother Robert Jensen Buhl and mutual friend Peter Bøgvad the line-up was complete and Blaue Blume released the EP 'Beau & Lorette' (2014) and the album 'Syzygy' (2015)

  More than a decade later, the strong bond in the band has spread to fans across Europe and has firmly established Blaue Blume as a force to be reckoned with on the Danish music scene.

  Fueled by hundreds of captivating live shows, the band's work ethic, ambitions and their heartfelt, sweeping art-rock, lush dramatic compositions channeled through Jonas Holst Schmidt's expressive vocals.

  The second EP 'Sobs' (2017) and ditto album 'Bell of Wool' (2019) portrayed a more assured and mature version of the band, comfortable forgoing the spectacular and theatrical for a sound that is no less emotionally affecting and compelling for its subtlety. It is also more experimental than their previous work, with Blaue Blume lifting the restraints of convention from their work.

  Which brings us up to the speed with this unique ensemble, who is now a three-piece with Jonas Holst Schmidt, Søren Buhl Lassen and Buster Jensen.

  After a string of singles 'Country' (2022), 'Mood' (2023) and 'Crush' (2023), Blaue Blume is resetting the template and release their third album 'Regnvåde sale' (2025) which is also their first with Danish lyrics. A release that sets a new tone and with a sensitive and powerful presence in the native tongue marks a new era for this beloved band.

  Spleen United

  With an underlying tone of warm romanticism and a musical approach that can be down and dirty, hard rocking, melodious and experimental, Spleen United sounds like no other band in Denmark today. They have replaced bass and guitar with synthesizers on many of the tracks, and they insist on playing synthesizers as if they were guitars, lending an organic feel to the electronic aspects of the album. In other words, Spleen United have their own unique approach to music, and this puts them in a class of their own, right from their debut album. Spleen United consists of brothers Bjarke and Gaute Niemann, Jens Kinch, Kasper Nørlund and Rune Wehner.

  Soleima is the nom de plume of pop star/singer/songwriter Sarah Mariegaard, formerly of the Danish hip-hop collective Flødeklinikken. Emerging in 2016, her evocative mix of dreamy indie pop, R&B, and psych-tinged, left-field electro-pop invokes names like FKA Twigs, Lykke Li, and fellow Scandinavians Karen Marie Ørsted (aka MØ) and Ellinor Olovsdotter (aka Elliphant). Based out of Copenhagen, Soleima dropped a handful of well-received singles, including the sugary "My Boi" in 2016, in anticipation of her debut EP, No.14, which was released the following year via Parlophone. Late 2017 saw the release of "Paper," followed in January 2018 by the bouncy single "Low Life," which appeared on that year's Bulldog EP. She parted ways with Parlophone the following year and inked a deal with Atlantic.
