With four decades of darkness behind them, Norway’s extreme metal pioneers MAYHEM continue their legacy of chaos with the ongoing “40 Years of Mayhem” anniversary tour. Marking this milestone, they’re headlining the 2025 Decibel Magazine Tour in North America, bringing their raw, relentless sound to fans old and new. For those who witnessed the fury of 1987’s Deathcrush EP and the groundbreaking De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas or for fresh converts, MAYHEM remains a force like no other. Capturing their ferocious live energy, the 2023 release Daemonic Rites stands as a testament to their enduring power on stage. The band’s current lineup features founding bassist Necrobutcher, long-time drummer Hellhammer, and iconic vocalist Attila Csihar, alongside guitarists Teloch and Ghul. With a career-spanning setlist, they embrace their history, performing both brutal classics and challenging, technical pieces from albums like Grand Declaration of War and Daemon.
