Things somehow always seem to move at breakneck speed for Anna Friedberg. Whilst she was still performing solo, she uploaded her songs to MySpace. Before she knew it, she was touring with the likes of Lenny Kravitz and James Blunt - no word of a lie. Her next two albums racked up multiple awards and, in record time, introduced the artist to a growing audience in both the UK and Austria. Although she took a break in the mid-2010s, renting an Airbnb in the Californian countryside and starting to experiment, she subsequently took the results back to London, where, within a few weeks, she found three like-minded female musicians and, in 2021, promptly released her first EP, “Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah”, under the band name Friedberg. Electronically enhanced post-punk, combining proper dance qualities with catchy hooks and alt-rock songwriting, became Friedberg’s signature sound and has since amassed millions of streams. Phew. On their debut album “Hardcore Workout Queen” (2024), the band take this style to a new level of dance-punk intensity, which they’ll once again unleash on our stage with their unbridled energy.
