Jack grew up in Harrietville, a small town at the foot of the mountains in Victoria’s High Country. It’s the kind of place where stories travel, characters stick with you and the landscape is hard to ignore. All of that found its way into the songs. Stories of people and place, the choices we make, the trouble we get ourselves into and the things we learn a little too late.
Somewhere between where he came from and the music he makes, **Mountain Roots** became the name that stuck.
That sound has taken Jack onto stages around Australia including Woodford Folk Festival, Gympie Music Muster and Tamworth Country Music Festival.
In 2026, Jack releases his second album, *Mr Know It All*.
